Our distributed dried mealworms come with a specific restriction on the health certificate stating they may exclusively be marketed for non-food-producing animals.
- Wild Birds & Garden Birds: By far the largest sales market for dried mealworms in Europe. Because wild garden birds (such as tits, robins, and blackbirds) are biologically not classified as ‘poultry’ or ‘farmed animals’, this application is fully permitted by law under wildlife nutrition.
- Pet Food Industry: A highly popular premium snack or ingredient for companion animals:
- Rodents & Small Mammals: Hamsters, gerbils, hedgehogs, sugar gliders, and mice.
- Reptiles & Amphibians: Bearded dragons, geckos, turtles, and frogs kept in captivity.
- Ornamental Birds: Aviary birds, ornamental finches, and companion parrots.
- Dogs & Cats: As an ingredient, often in powder form, processed into sustainable, hypoallergenic, high-quality snacks.
- Ornamental Fish: Premium treats for ornamental pond fish like Koi carp.

Once our products enter the Netherlands, they are inspected, regulated, and stored under the strict supervision and jurisdiction of the Dutch Government.
- Regulation (EC) No 1069/2009: ExportManager.nu and our warehousing partners are fully registered for trading and storing feed materials.
- Regulation (EC) No 999/2001: Not for human consumption – not for use in feed for farmed animals other than aquaculture animals, fur animals, pigs and poultry.
